Why Gene Brown Started Geneziz
Commercial Cleaning
Geneziz Commercial Cleaning has been operating in Hampton Roads since 2011. Gene Brown started the company with a belief that most commercial cleaning companies have figured out how to make a facility look clean and far fewer have figured out how to actually clean it.
After fifteen years, that belief is still the organizing principle behind every account Geneziz serves. Other companies' deep clean is Geneziz's every clean. That is not a marketing line. It is the operational standard Gene established from the first account and has maintained ever since.
Geneziz is minority-owned and locally operated. It is not a franchise. There is no regional coordinator between Gene and the account. The person you meet at the walkthrough is the same person whose name is on the contract, whose direct line is on the scope of work, and who answers when something goes wrong at 10 PM.
Fifteen years of Hampton Roads business relationships are built on that single accountability structure and it is the thing that no franchise system in this market can replicate.

What Geneziz Carries Into Every Account
Hospital-Grade Disinfectants: The cleaning products Geneziz uses in health-based and medical facility accounts carry EPA registration for hospital use. Applied every visit, not on the deep-clean schedule.
Government Procurement Credentials: DUNS 009211353 / CAGE 8DND0 / NAICS 561720. Geneziz is capability-statement ready for government and institutional procurement. Most local commercial cleaning companies do not have this infrastructure.
Minority-Owned Business: Geneziz LLC is minority-owned and SWAM Certified. For clients with supplier diversity purchasing programs or government contracts that require minority-owned vendor participation, Geneziz qualifies.
15 Years of Hampton Roads Track Record: In business continuously since 2011. Clients include Vineyard Community Church, Fairbanks Morse, SICE in Norfolk, CHKD in Suffolk and Domestic Fuels, just to name a few.
